Sight Words Learn to Read App Reviews

Bought this app for my 3 year old so but he cant play it because Its crashing everytime he tap the fish with the his chosen word. Hope you can do something about it since you will charge $2 on my creditcard.

An excellent app. Please consider having the fish swim in the other direction. This would promote eye scan from left to right as if you were reading on a page. Also please consider slowing the rate of swimming speed. I like the hesitation from the time the word is visually presented until it is spoken allowing an opportunity for the student to read and/or guess. Great job!

Where was this when the iPhone first came out. Not only is this app insanely useful, but it’s it also really cute. Great for kids!

I think the game is fun especially for children. Good thing is they can learn sight words while playing, and I believe that will help the kids develop language skills, which will always be with them forever.

When I tap on the correct fish ... It kicks me off the app.... Does NOT work properly ...

The app crashes whenever my son picks the right fish. I would give it zero stars if that was possible.

My daughter LOVES this app. Its so refreshing to see an intellectual app that actually teaches something. She loves the little blue mascot and she wont put my phone down. I had to wait till she was asleep to write the review!

I babysit my niece and Im supposed to help her get her reading down. I kind of hate doing it, so I was looking for something that would be fun for her and easy for me. She plays it non-stop - normally she kills my battery but hey. If I dont have to sit with her for hours and deal with her getting bored, I love it. She loves the fish - the first thing she said was how its her favorite color. The game keeps her focused, and after just a short while, today she actually read more of one of her books in her room than I did. Best 99 cents I spent in a while. Its a bit large but hey. Means I dont need to use my data when she plays, and it was on my phone in less than five minutes.

I bought this app for my boys and they love it! I am always on the look out for fun educational apps that my kids will actually learn from. This app is perfect for any child who is learning how to read.

The word needs to be repeated more than once- like each time its tapped. Hard to tell if the correct word is tapped. I would like my money back!

This app is great for teaching your children the fundamental English words. It is very easy to use and entertaining. Highly recommended!

My son loves this app! It helps him to learn and practice words with nice animations. It is very educational and has great graphics.

I agree that it would be better if the word were pronounced again when the student touched it, if not each fish as they touched it, at least the bubble word so they could hear it again. Otherwise its just a visual matching exercise and doesnt necessarily help them learn to read the word. I also wonder if it would be better if the fish swam the other direction, so the words would be revealed left to right rather than right to left?

The fish are cute and the music is nice. I like the graphics and the narrators voice is clear. Kids play by touching the swimming fish that have the right word on them. As a teacher I would like to offer a couple suggestions. First, older kids need extra practice on sight words too, so I would appreciate if the narrator didnt announce "preschool" or "kindergarten" at the beginning. That will make it harder to convince my first or second grade students to play it! Just call it part one, or section one. Also, can you add a setting to adjust the speed so the fish swim by at a faster or slower level? Again all kids dont process at the same speed. Thank you.

It looks like a great game, but the sound doesnt work. Does anybody have an idea why? 1 star for this reason, but I think this is a 5 star game otherwise.
