There are 40 rounds of game play for Pre-Schoolers and 52 for Kindergarten.
**Swish the Fish will introduce the word at the start of the round and send fish swimming through the water, each showcasing 3 different sight words.
**Swish the Fish then encourages your child to tap on the fish with the nominated sight word for the round.
**For every correctly tapped word a star is awarded.
**At the end of the round the stars are tallied up.
**If your child correctly taps more than 10 fish in the round they are awarded a prize to add to their very own fish tank!
**If your child does not achieve the minimum no. of fish to pass the round the word is then repeated to build memory retention

What are Dolch sight words?
In 1948 Edward William Dolch, PHD, compiled a list of the most frequently used words in the English language. The list consists of 220 words and 95 nouns. Many of the words could not be “sounded out” and had to be learnt by “sight”. Sight words make up 50-70% of any general text.

Bought this app for my 3 year old so but he cant play it because Its crashing everytime he tap the fish with the his chosen word. Hope you can do something about it since you will charge $2 on my creditcard.
An excellent app. Please consider having the fish swim in the other direction. This would promote eye scan from left to right as if you were reading on a page. Also please consider slowing the rate of swimming speed. I like the hesitation from the time the word is visually presented until it is spoken allowing an opportunity for the student to read and/or guess. Great job!
Where was this when the iPhone first came out. Not only is this app insanely useful, but it’s it also really cute. Great for kids!
I think the game is fun especially for children. Good thing is they can learn sight words while playing, and I believe that will help the kids develop language skills, which will always be with them forever.
When I tap on the correct fish ... It kicks me off the app.... Does NOT work properly ...
